A happy harvest at Footsteps
This October, the children at Footsteps have been celebrating Harvest.
Each year, we take the children to St Peter’s Parish Church where they learnt about Harvest time and how they can care for others; at home and in the local community.
Parents kindly donated tinned food and dry food products which the children donated to the church for local residents. The children learnt that Harvest is an important part of the Christian calendar and this time of year, farmers cut down grass in their fields to make hay for their animals for the winter.
The children loved exploring the church and looking at the beautiful stain glass windows. We are looking forward to going back later at Christmas time.
