Armistice Day was commemorated on the 11th November. Also known as Remembrance Day, it marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. This year also marked 100 years since the end of WW1 …….
The beginning of November has been a whirlwind as we celebrated a world of colour. With fireworks and Diwali taking top spots on the calendar, we enjoyed lots of different activities which have brightened up our walls (and sometimes our clothes too)……

On Sunday 2nd September Footsteps Aylesbury celebrated their 1st Birthday with a Funday for children and their parents. The lovely weather was an added bonus as the event enabled full use of Aylesbury’s fantastic outdoor facilities to offer a great selection of stalls and activities….

Over the coming months Footsteps Aylesbury will be undergoing a significant garden renovation. Development is well underway on making some significant changes to 3 of our nursery outdoor areas. As well as the front garden we are adding provisions to both the side garden and new allotment. We are creating lots of new structures for play and learning which we are really excited about!…
Footsteps are situated in fantastic surroundings which allow us to offer our children access to Forest School, allotments and wide open spaces for running and playing. By the very nature of the environment, we are often joined by various creepy crawlies. This is to the great delight of the children….
Footsteps Nursery at both Chalfont St Peter and Aylesbury have enjoyed a Royal celebration of their own in the lead up to last weekend’s big event as Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle. At Footsteps we take great pride in our local area and we feel it is very important to teach all the children in our came the same. We offer lots of activities which make the most of our fantastic setting and green spaces and we always ensure we are imparting the importance of respecting our environment.
At our Chalfont site we are exceptionally lucky to have access to lots of open space to undertake our forest school activities. Autumn brings an abundance of nature for the children to explore, inspiring colours and wildlife.
Footsteps Nursery are thrilled to announce plans for a brand new nursery in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire are well underway. The nursery will cater for around 50 children from babies through to school age and will also offer before and after school care. Find out more!!
On Saturday 15th July, we will once again be holding our annual open day. Both prospective and existing parents alike are invited to join us at Footsteps Chalfont St Peter between 11.30am and 1.30pm for our family fun day.
OFSTED report praises children’s learning progress
“Staff use their knowledge of the children effectively to support the next steps in their learning. They plan challenging activities based on the children’s interests and needs.“ Following an inspection in February, Footsteps Nursery is proud to receive a “Good” Ofsted report across all areas.
Footsteps celebrates World Book day
On 2nd March staff and children entered into the spirit of World Book day to celebrate World Book day. Book lovers all over the country were celebrating their favourite stories once again as World Book Day is back and marking its 20th anniversary.
A busy new year for Footsteps Chalfont St Peter
Now that we are all back from our Christmas break we have been very busy at Footsteps Chalfont St Peter. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been helping the local wildlife, making winter inspired experiments and exploring our local environment.

The Children In Need Teddy Bear Picnic
On the 18th November, Footsteps Nursery & Pre-school wanted to fundraise for Children In Need.
For this year’s Remembrance Day, the children at Footsteps Chalfont St Peter have been working really hard to make a wreath to take down to our local church.
