Wear it Pink for Cancer
At Footsteps, we love raising money for charity and over the last few weeks this has been no exception by raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
We have been very busy with the children making an array of decorated biscuits which parents have kindly purchased via a donation to the charity.
The worldwide annual campaign highlights the importance of breast awareness, education and research. The charity funds world class, cutting edge research to prevent, treat and detect breast cancer. So far the charity has raised a staggering £28.9 million and aims to raise around £2 million this year.
We also supported this good cause by hosting a “Wear it pink for cancer” day, where we encouraged all staff and children to attend in pink and make a donation for the research.
We are pleased to announce that we raised £135.78!
Kelly said “’Thanks again to all Parents for supporting us and donating. It’s a cause that is especially close to some of the staff here who have lost loved ones through cancer. Thank you to Kathy, Liz and Tasha for organising.”
