With strong Forest School values at our core, we believe children thrive when they are outdoors, discovering the world through real hands-on experiences.
We make the most of our rural village location with field walks, nature trails, wildlife spotting and outdoor play are part of our daily rhythm. Childhood should be full of wonder, freedom and exploration, and at Footsteps Oving, every day is an opportunity to grow in confidence and curiosity.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to ensure every child develops the skills they need for school and beyond.
Footsteps Oving is a warm and personal early years environment where children feel known, valued and supported. Our strong key person approach ensures each child builds close relationships and settles quickly. Our small, close-knit team creates a homely atmosphere with a strong sense of belonging and community.
We are proud to be part of village life, building links with families, local schools and the wider Oving community.
We offer places for children aged from 1 to 5 years, with flexible sessions available to suit working parents and family needs where possible. We also offer 15 and 30 hour funded childcare for eligible families.

“My son has been attending Footsteps Oving since we moved to Oving almost a year and a half ago. The care, dedication and commitment is quite extraordinary. From picnics, feeding the pigs, offering weekly books to read, educating on road safety, exploring new textures from tuff trays full of goodies to creating cheese biscuits, gardening, wildlife exploring, Footsteps are always doing something special. The team are wonderful and you can see that they genuinely love their jobs, I never worry when our son is in their care.”

Siri is a dedicated mum of two and brings both warmth and enthusiasm to her role. She has a passion for cooking and loves to spend time shopping and exploring new ideas. Siri particularly enjoys being outdoors with the children, creating opportunities for child-led learning and helping them discover and grow through amazing hands-on experiences. Her caring nature and creative approach make her a wonderful addition to the Footsteps family.
