Footsteps Farnborough joined the Footsteps family in 2019. The previous Scout Hall, on Fleet Road in Farnborough has been transformed into a fresh, flexible and welcoming space where there is a strong ethos towards a caring and nurturing setting for children to thrive. Footsteps Farnborough, in keeping with other Footsteps locations, has a definitive approach to learning which is based around access to outside space, Forest School principles and child-led learning. This is in collaboration with the Early Years curriculum expectations. Key principles include:

• A strong emphasis on collaboration with their peers
• Exploring ways of communication and to how to be listened to with respect
• Providing an environment to inspire learning and the materials and tools to discover their surroundings
• Activities are planned around children’s interests and adults take the role of guides and mentors to facilitate learning experiences
• To discover how each individual child learns and not separating learning and play
• Offering free-flow play and encouraging exploration of outside areas and their natural environment
• With 30 places this nursery and pre-school values the opportunity to really understand each and every child, find their strengths and encourage a sense of community.

Places are available for children aged 2 to 5 years and will be open from 8.00am – 3.00pm during term time.
