Footsteps offer EEF (Early Education Funding) grants for 3 or 4 year olds. This funding will start from the term after your child turns 3 years old. Each terms run in conjunction with the local County Council.
Third birthday between: Eligible from:
1st April – 31st August Autumn term, starting in September
1st September – 31st December Spring term, starting in January
1st January – 31st March Summer term, starting in April
If your child is eligible for the 2 year old funding, you are able to use your entitlement at Footsteps too. Once you are in receipt of the letter from the County Council confirming your eligibility, we will be happy to arrange it for you. The paperwork for 2 year old funding is the same as for 3 and 4 year olds. If you are unsure which funding you are entitled to please visit the Government Information website.
Don’t worry! This won’t be an onerous task and we like to make accessing the funding as easy as possible – we will apply on your behalf each term.
All we will ask you to do is to fill out two forms (to be done every September) and bring along a form of ID for your child (prior to the funding starting).
We will do all of the rest!
Your funding can be accessed term-time only (38 weeks), with the exception when we are closed for Christmas break.
We offer 15 hours or 30 hours of free childcare accessed over the week in flexible hours. Please speak to one of or management team for more details.
