Aylesbury gets a garden makeover!
Over the coming months Footsteps Aylesbury will be undergoing a significant garden renovation. Development is well underway on making some significant changes to 3 of our nursery outdoor areas.
As well as the front garden we are adding provisions to both the side garden and new allotment. We are creating lots of new structures for play and learning which we are really excited about!
This includes:
Loose parts play – Using crates, guttering, planks of wood, pipes, canes, tyres and cable drums the children will be able to let their imagination run wild. From obstacle courses to cars or fire engines there will be plenty of props to stimulate problem solving and griss motor skills.
Role play area – We have created a garden kitchen and we have a great supply of old pots, pans and kitchen utensils which are ideal tools to get down and dirty with mud pies galore!
Water Walls – All Children adore water play and our brand new water walls using drain pipes, funnels and flexible tubing create lots of opportunities for children to explore water in different ways.
Music Walls – This addition to the garden has been very well received by the children. With kitchen and household items fixed to the wall, the children have been enjoying investigate the sounds they make. We hope they have not been doing the same at home!
Many thanks to all of our wonderful parents for their donations so far.
