Red Nose Day News
On Friday 18th March Children across our Footsteps family got their fundraising hats on and came up with lots of ways to support Red Nose Day 2022. Comic Relief believe that a just world, free from poverty is possible and that those closest to the issues have the best solutions. They partner with amazing projects and organisations that are working to tackle some of the biggest challenges society faces today.
Leighton Buzzard had great fun with red moon sand, using rollers to make marks and red noses with their hands and spoons. They got crafty with some red nose paintings, iced some red nose biscuits and ended the day with a red nose day race in the sunshine as they balanced red beanbags.
At Oving the children got sticky as they created some giant paper mache noses to paint and hang on display as well as designing and painting their own red noses. They also enjoyed searching for the red balls in the outside ball pit.
At Maple Cross Children came dressed in their pyjamas – complete with dressing gowns and teddies to raise much needed funds and enjoyed a whole host of activities. Footsteps Watermead had an action packed day too, and spent lots of time doing outside activities as well as enjoying a themed snack.
Footsteps Farnborough went for a red theme. The children and staff came dressed in red and there were lots of red activities on offer to enjoy. There was rolling tomatoes, red playdough, red stories, red colouring and red number puzzles.
Footsteps Chalfont also donned their finest red outfits. In Baby Room they made red iced biscuits with red cherries for noses – the team were all impressed with how they followed instructions. They also made their own red nose paper plates and decorated them with red feathers. Our older children also enjoyed a day of fun as they rode on red trikes in the sunshine, decorated biscuits, made playdough noses and some Red Nose Day cards.
A huge thanks to all our children and their families for taking part and helping us raise money for this worthy cause!
