Celebrating a Year of Fun, Friendship and New Beginnings
As another wonderful year at Footsteps comes to a close, we have been taking time to celebrate just how much our children have achieved over the past year. The end of the summer term is always filled with mixed emotions. Excitement for the adventures ahead, pride in everything our children have accomplished, and a few tears as we say goodbye to those moving on to primary school.
This term has been jam packed with football fever, Forest School foraging, Wimbledon wonder, music, reading, crafts, cooking, gardening, celebrations, imagination and a whole lot of fun!
One of the highlights of the term has certainly been our Graduation Celebrations. Across our settings, we have been delighted to welcome parents, grandparents, siblings and other special family members to join us in celebrating our school leavers. It has been such an amazing occasion, with the children receiving their graduation scrolls, certificates or medals in recognition of their incredible journey with us. Of course, no celebration would be complete without sharing in some treats and plenty of opportunities to capture those photographs that families will hopefully treasure for years to come.
It was impossible not to reflect on just how much each child has grown. From their first days with us, often a little unsure, to the confident, and independent children leaving us for Big School. Every milestone truly has been a privilege to witness. Watching children develop friendships, discover new interests and build the confidence to overcome new challenges is at the heart of everything we do at Footsteps.
The celebrations didn’t stop there. Our Chalfont setting also hosted a fantastic Summer Fair, bringing together our community for an afternoon of fun and laughter. Families enjoyed BBQs, bouncy castles, games, activities, raffles and plenty of opportunities to spend quality time together. These events are always a wonderful reminder that Footsteps is so much more than a nursery or pre-school.
As our children prepare to begin their next exciting chapter at primary school, we know they are more than ready for the adventure ahead. While it is never easy to say goodbye, there is something incredibly special about watching them spread their wings and knowing we have played a small part in helping them get there.
To all of our children moving on, we wish you every success and happiness as you begin your new journey. Continue to be kind, curious, brave and believe in yourselves. We know you will achieve wonderful things, and we look forward to hearing all about your adventures in the years to come.
Finally, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our families. The thoughtful gifts, beautiful cards and incredibly kind messages we have received over the past few weeks have meant the world to our teams. Knowing that we have made a positive difference to your child’s early years is the greatest compliment we could receive, and your words of appreciation will stay with us as we continue to support the next cohort of Footsteps superstars.
As one chapter closes, another begins. We wish all of our families a fantastic summer. To those returning in September, we can’t wait to welcome you back for another exciting year of learning, discovery and adventure. And to all of our new families joining the Footsteps community, we are so looking forward to welcoming you and creating many wonderful memories together.
