Celebrating Nursery Practitioner Day at Footsteps Oving
On 17th October, we are delighted to celebrate Nursery Practitioner Day. This is a time to recognise and appreciate the incredible team here at Footsteps Oving. Every smile, every milestone reached, and every display of increased confidence we see in the children is thanks to the dedication, creativity, and care of our amazing practitioners.
At Footsteps, we know that happy children grow and flourish when they are surrounded by adults who nurture not just their learning, but their whole wellbeing. Our Oving team embodies this every single day, and today, we are proud to shine a spotlight on them.
Siri – Our Resident Baby Whisperer
Siri has a magical way with our little ones. Whether she’s playing a game of peek-a-boo or offering gentle reassurance, her calm and caring presence helps our youngest children feel safe, secure, and ready to explore the world.
Usha – Our Sensory Explorer
Usha brings endless creativity to her sensory sessions; from tasting and smelling different foods to exploring textures and sounds. She sparks curiosity in children, helping them learn through discovery and fun.
Amy – Our Planning Pro
Currently on maternity leave, Amy is dearly missed by the team and families alike. Known for her incredible planning and organisation, Amy always ensures that every day at Footsteps runs smoothly and that activities are thoughtfully prepared to give children the best possible experiences.
Allie – Our Green Fingered Gardener
Allie shares her love of gardening with the children, teaching them the joy of growing their own plants. From seed to plate, she shows how nature’s efforts can be turned into delicious, healthy snacks helping to inspire healthy habits for life.
Alex – Storytelling Star
Alex brings books to life, capturing imaginations with every story. Her storytelling sessions aren’t just about reading; they’re about sparking creativity, empathy, and a lifelong love for stories.
And of course every member of our team knows that sometimes, what a child needs most is a cuddle. Whether it’s a moment of comfort, a celebration of success, or simply a connection of trust, cuddles are part of the Footsteps way to make our setting a home from home.
