Footsteps Farnborough News for September
Footsteps Farnborough has gone from strength to strength since opening earlier this year – both in terms of the number of children joining our happy family as well as new members of dedicated team members. We are so pleased to be welcoming lots of new children this term and have loved hearing all about their summer holidays. We have lots of news to share with you too.
Staffing Update
We are pleased to introduce some wonderful new faces at Footsteps. Our new Deputy Manager Claire, is an experienced early years practitioner with a background in Early Years management. She holds a degree in education and will be our SENCO and Deputy Safeguarding lead. Welcome on board Claire.
Jean is also going to be joining our Footsteps crew, working 3 mornings a week. Jean is qualified with an NNEB and an array of experience in early years and we are excited to have her joining us very soon.
Forest School
This term is going to be full of learning adventures as we develop our Forest School area. We have started building bonfires, cooking on a bonfire and learning how to make easels on the trees. The new shelving units and natural resources open up a world of learning opportunities. We are very excited and look forward to sharing the developments with you. You can read more about the benefits of outdoor learning from a great article by our friends at Footsteps Aylesbury here.
We have lots of great trips, activities, experiences and special celebrations to look forward to and we can wait to share all of our news as the children grow in confidence, friendship and lay all the foundations for an amazing learning journey!
