Footsteps Maple Cross join Peppa Pig in muddy puddles for Save The Children.
Footsteps Maple Cross were delighted to take part in the 2019 Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Walk for Save the Children. It was a great way for your little ones to get active, get muddy and raise money to help save children’s lives.
We didn’t need to ask twice if the children wanted to jump in puddles! What could be better? We pulled on our wellies and set off to find those muddy puddles and they already seemed to be expert jumpers! Everyone who took part in a Muddy Puddle Walk received a Peppa sticker and certificate to say a big Well done! from Save the Children as well as from Peppa and her friends.
In addition to our walk we also held a bake sale, with the children enjoying baking cakes for their parents and families to enjoy! It was a great success and with sponsorship money still coming in we are hoping to hit our target of £150 to receive a goody bag for the nursery. The money we have raised will help make sure that children in the world’s toughest places get food and medicine, are protected from danger and get the chance to learn. Manager Kathy Reynolds commented “It’s a great chance for the children to discover how much fun it can be to explore the world around them and to find out what life’s like for a child in another country as there were some fantastic resources to use. We would like to thank all the children for taking part so enthusiastically and all of the parents for their support (and washing!)”
