Footsteps Oving get READy for World Book Day
At Footsteps Oving we love to read and learn through lots of activities driven by our love for our favourite stories. Reading is so important for language development, recognising letters and most of all getting lost in a world of imagination.
This February we have been very busy finding out our Children’s favourites and putting our creativity to good use. We have explored the thick oozy mud, long swishy grass, dark forests, gloomy caves, whirling snowstorms and splashing in rivers before finding a bear at the end of our Bear Hunt! We have also looked at healthy eating as we dug for vegetables in Peter Rabbit’s garden and made our own Supertatos ready to save the other healthy vegetables.
Usborne’s Sponsored Reading Challenge!
Between 7th February & 18th February, in the run up too World Book Day, we are running a pre-school sponsored listen. We are reading lots & lots of stories with the children in groups as well as by themselves.
We want to thank our parents for all their support as we send home sponsorship forms & listening logs. We can’t wait to use the money raised for lots of new books for Pre-school. A big thanks also goes to Usborne who are also donating an additional 10% of books for free.
We now can’t wait to get into character and have lots of fun for World Book Day on the 3rd March!
Happy Reading Everyone!
