Joyful Jingles and Frosty Fun: Christmas at Footsteps
The festive spirit has been in full swing at Footsteps, where twinkling lights and cheery laughter have transformed the atmosphere into a winter wonderland. Our little ones have been on a magical journey filled with delightful Christmas activities.
Cheeky Elf Antics: A mischievous elf has been making surprise visits, spreading joy and leaving behind little hints of its playful escapades. The excitement in the children’s eyes is contagious as they eagerly search for signs of the cheeky elf’s latest antics. Our Elf has also been keeping an eye on how kind we are to others in the spirit of the season.
Trimming the Trees: Christmas trees have been adorned with twinkling lights and handcrafted ornaments have taken center stage. The children showcased their creativity by decorating trees with frozen baubles filled with treasures collected during Forest School adventures, adding a touch of nature to our festive display.
Festive Baking and Reindeer Magic: The aroma of festive baking has wafted through the air as little hands eagerly got involved in making delicious treats. Reindeer food preparation added an extra sprinkle of magic, ensuring that Santa’s loyal helpers have a tasty treat on their journey.
Artistic Delights: Our budding artists have been busy with Christmas arts and crafts, from fingerprint printing to crafting adorable snowmen and snowy trees. Glittering lights have been carefully placed on paper to create dazzling festive scenes that have adorned our walls.
Advent Calendar Excitement: Every morning has brought new excitement as the children eagerly opened advent calendars, discovering tiny treasures that added a daily dose of joy and anticipation – as well as a subtle lesson in numbers!
Snowy Shenanigans: Messy play took a frosty turn as shaving foam transformed our staff into human snow women, sparking giggles and creating lasting memories. It was snow much fun and helping each other get cleaned up was all part of the experience. Our tuff trays offered a whole host of other festive learning experiences, activities, role play and developing key skills.
Festive Family Bonding: Families joined in the festive fun during stay and play sessions, relishing precious moments of togetherness during activities and Christmas sweet treats. Nativity performances and heartwarming Christmas carols and dancing echoed through our halls, filling the air with the spirit of the season.
Santa’s Special Visits: The highlight of the season was undoubtedly the visits from the big man himself – Santa Claus! Wide-eyed children shared their wishes, and Santa, with his jolly laughter, added an extra sprinkle of magic to our celebrations – the children were thrilled to receive gifts too!
Season of Giving: In the true spirit of Christmas, Footsteps embraced the season of giving. During Christmas Jumper Week, we raised funds for a good cause, and our generous community collected toys for Bucks Radio at Footsteps Watermead, ensuring that the joy of Christmas reaches beyond our walls.
Storytime and Festive Feasts: Christmas stories filled our days with enchantment as little ones gathered around for tales of holiday magic. The joy culminated in shared Christmas dinners, creating a sense of warmth and community.
