Maple Cross Autumn News
With half term and a deep clean in full swing, we have been reflecting on all the fun we have been having so far this October.
Our Autumn activities have kept us very busy. With a focus on spending time in our gorgeous outside space and watching the changes to our garden as the leaves fall and change colour.
The children have loved exploring our Autumn topic. With crafts, wreaths, sparkly autumn cones, cooking, painting, drawing and digging in the earth to find autumn objects. Playing in the leaves and enjoying the season whatever the weather!
A huge thanks to our amazing team that have been so creative and dedicated to providing such special experiences. We have also spent time on Goldilocks and the three bears – reading the story and creating the story in our tuff tray, working on the computer and building on all our very special friendships.
The role play theme continued as we set up lots of creative areas in the garden – from cafe’s to green grocers it gave us lots of opportunity to talk about Autumn vegetables, healthy eating, money and taking turns.
We have also been having a spooktacular time with our Halloween ???? topic. We went hunting for spiders around the building – as well a spooky story time and filling and pouring with our jack-o-laterns.
We hope all the children (and staff) are enjoying a week with their families. We can’t wait to see them back next week as we get our fireworks topic off to a bang!
