Two Year Old Funding
2-Year-Old Funding – Are you eligible?
Here at Footsteps we want to help our families make access to our setting as easy and affordable as possible. Our team are always on hand to advise and support parents with all the latest information.
Your 2-year-old may be able to attend funded early education and childcare giving you the chance to do some training or study or take a part-time job. Or if you just need a few hours a week to spend with your younger children, this could be for you.
We offer places for 2 year olds who are eligible, with 2 year old funding. This entitles families to receive up to 15 hours funded provision in a nursery, pre-school or childminder for 38 weeks. This is available:
- For families in England, receiving some forms of support or earning less than £15,400 per year (after tax)
- For 2-year-old children
- A total of 570 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more childcare provider
- Some providers will allow you to ‘stretch’ the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week
- To be able to take up 15 hours of free childcarefor your two-year-old, you – or your child – must meet the eligibility criteria. Find out if you are eligible over on the Government website https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-2-year-olds
At Footsteps we ensure that you can be confident they are receiving quality early education and giving them new experiences with other children. Please feel free to speak to one of our team about how to apply for this funding to use at Footsteps.
