Aylesbury’s Autumn Adventures!
We wanted to share just some of amazing activities and events planned over the next couple of weeks. With so much going on we are very excited about all the wonderful learning opportunities as well as the fun we will have!!
This week we will be celebrating Diwali and are very fortunate to have parents who are also supporting us with our activities. It is so important to expose the children to all of the festivals, celebrations and beliefs of their peers as well as to understand the history behind them. We will be doing lots of exploring of colour and light as well as messy play using home-made coloured sand, food tasting, and up in traditional outfits.
Another festival on our agenda is Halloween. We will be having a Halloween party with all of our friends at Lewin house – with themed activities, singing and food. We can’t wait to involve the residents who always love the children’s visits!
If that wasn’t enough we will also be organising trips for some of our older children on the bus to the Library. Here we can look at books and talk about how libraries work. They always love taking the bus and as always we know they will be on their best behaviour – always a credit to Footsteps parents!
As winter nights draw in and November approaches we will also be doing some firework activities and no doubt getting messy with some wonderful arts and crafts.
Manager Natasha commented It is such a busy time of year! We absolutely love exploring all of the different festivals and celebrations with the children and we always learn lots from them too! We want to take the opportunity to thank our incredible team who put so much effort and time into creating the activities, and helping the children get so much from them.”
