Christmas preparations at Footsteps

At Footsteps Nursery we have had a wonderful month of Christmas preparations, themed activities and learning opportunities. Christmas is always a time of year that we like to teach the children about the importance of giving, of community and celebration. One of our favourite trips as part of our festive calendar is to visit Woodland Manor Care home to sing carols with the children and residents.

Nursery Manager Kelly Carter said: “Activities that involve music and socialising seem to be very popular with the residents and we were thrilled to be able to share in such a happy experience. The children (and staff) sang beautifully and it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the event and singing along to well-loved Christmas carols. We had an absolutely wonderful time – all the nursery rhyme singing practice over the year definitely helped confidence of both the staff and children and there was a smile on everyone’s faces!”
