Footsteps Aylesbury bakes off in bid to support Macmillan Coffee Morning
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event. People all over the UK host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. On Friday 27 September 2019 Footsteps Aylesbury will be joining in the fun and helping to raise vital dough-nations to help Macmillan be there for more people living with cancer.
We will be having a stay and play session for the children and parents & carers where they can enjoy playing in our especially themed café home corner or shake their stuff at our music and movement session. Don’t worry though – we haven’t forgotten the key ingredient to the morning – CAKE!
We will be baking with the children as well as accepting some traditionally more aesthetic cakes from our wonderful parents and holding a cake sale at pick up on the 26th. The main event on the 27th will have those competitive bakers and show stopping creations out in force as the children bring in the creations from home for the hotly contested cake competition. We are warming up by eating lots of cake so that we are fully prepared for judging We haven’t yet decided who on the team will play Paul Hollywood and who will play Prue!
We will keep you posted with our final total which will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support which unfortunately is still so vital to so many families in the UK.
