Footsteps Aylesbury or Daddy Daycare?
June has been a bumper month of fun, learning, friendships, play and special experiences. We look at one of our favourites from this month.
On Monday 19th June some of our wonderful Dads came to play. Fresh from the weekend Father’s Day celebrations, it was a fantastic way to honour everything they do and for the children to show them all the amazing things they get up to during the day.
After a few facing time out for too much talking, they sat beautifully on the carpet and awaited instructions for their day of fun. The children behaved very well too. We wanted an activity where children and their Dads could bond over a shared goal (and for the Dads to inevitably get a little competitive too!)
And what could be more fun than junk modelling! Parents and children set to work with enthusiasm. And after some time, lots of laughter, smiles and chatter, we had an amazing array of models which included spaceships, planes, robots and even a replica of Big Ben!
Manager Natasha Hamer said “We were overwhelmed by the support for the special day and the number of Dads that came in. It was lovely to see children and parents working together and the incredible range of creations at the end.”
We had such a fantastic day. We love you Dads!
