Footsteps Chalfont St Peter turns 10!
On the 16th January 2022 we mark 10 years since the doors first opened to children at our Flagship Nursery and Pre-school in Chalfont St Peter in 2012. With our initial cohort now 13 Years old (eek) we have taken time to reflect on what an amazing 10 years it has been as hundreds of children have passed through our doors, our lives and are now using skills first discovered with our team to make their own Footsteps into the world.
The effectiveness of any childcare setting is underpinned by amazing, caring professionals and the fact that we still have 7 member of staff from our first year with us indicates what a welcoming, friendly and wonderful place Footsteps is to be. A huge congratulations must go to Kathy, Kellie, Natasha, Liz, Caroline, Holly, Tracey and co-founder Kelly Smith who have gone the 10 year distance and helped make Footsteps a fun, friendly and active environment where children thrive!
Following the success of Chalfont St Peter, we have had 6 other settings join the Footsteps Family. Chalfont has always been a shining example of the Footsteps ethos of lots of outside play and child led learning. Along the way we have also welcomed lots of other external professionals who have helped inspire a love of sports, languages, art and music. From Playball to tennis, Spanish to computing – there is always something exciting going on!
We couldn’t even imagine how much paint, mud, glue and glitter has gone home to our families (well done to all those washing machines) all the remnants of the fun we have had exploring, laughing, creating, learning and making friends.
We can’t wait to celebrate with a party and BBQ planned for June, where we hope to invite back some former children to celebrate this huge milestone. A huge thanks has to go to all our wonderful parents and carers over the years who have trusted us to take care of your children. We have loved getting to know each and every one of you, and think often of those that have moved onto new schools and new adventures.
