Footsteps Chalfont Summer Capers!
As the summer term is in full swing we thought we would recap some of our incredible activities, themes and adventures from the past few weeks. So sit back, grab that cool drink and enjoy!
Now the sun seems finally out and here to stay for a while we have been making the most of our wonderful out
side space. We have been enjoying Playball, tennis lessons, sports day running and obstacle races – where we even made our own medals. We have celebrated the success of our England team and played lots of football too!
In our garden we have been talking about healthy foods and planted seeds to harvest marrows, pumpkins, tomatoes and potatoes as well as spring onions and chives.
We have enjoyed Dinosaur week, Superhero week and lots of other celebrations! Inside the fun and learning continues with stories, role play, cutting, sticking, threading, science experiments and cooking as we explore the word around us and build up our fine motor skills too.
We are very sad to say goodbye to some of our pre-schoolers who are leaving us to go to Big School in September. We had a lovely graduation ceremony which we hope they will remember as they leave us fully equipped with all the skills designed to help them thrive in their new chapter at school. We were able to give out certificates, invite parents to watch outside as well as share some yummy party food.
As many schools and nurseries close for summer our doors stay open wide! Don’t forget our setting is open for children from babies to 8 years over the summer and very flexible to meet the needs of working parents. All nappies and wipes are provided and our wonderful team have over 15 years jointly working with our incredible children.
