Aylesbury News
On 6th July Footsteps Aylesbury was absolutely thrilled to reopen our doors and do what we love the most! After being closed for longer than anyone could ever have anticipated, we safely welcomed back our children and returned to fun, learning and friendship.
We were so proud of how all the children settled back into life at Footsteps. They were so receptive to talking about hygiene and staying safe, and we loved hearing about all of their lockdown achievements too! We have to thank our incredible team for ensuring that all the preparation was put into practice and the children adapted beautifully to the new routines.
The first day, we enjoyed painting, building playing in the role play area and some puzzles as well as singing together. Of course we also took plenty of time to play outside and make the most of our beautiful outdoor space.
We focused on spending as much time outside and on child-led activities as we could, and we were so proud of the creativity and ideas that the children came up with to incorporate into their play.
We have also been busy with water play, messy play, cooking, tea parties, running in the meadows, balancing, climbing, bug hunting, number recognition and mark making. We like to think we have sent them home at the end of the day full of wonderful stories and developing language skills to keep our parents updated and confident in how happy our children have been.
We want to take the opportunity to thank all of our talented, dedicated and caring team who invest so much of themselves into ensuring that all of our children have positive experiences and love their time at Footsteps – we certainly love having them.
Watch this space for our latest adventures.
